12 month contract
The primary focus of this task is to develop training packages that are tailored to be specific, effective, and efficient at producing high quality clearance divers at different stages of their career. The risk of not achieving this is a depleted workforce, increased risk to safety under training, and for the MCD capability not to be able to achieve required tasks into the future.
The secondary focus is to identify and develop links with the wider support system through MCDSPO (equipment, logistics, tools and training aids) to meet the Force Element(s) Operating and Support Intent (OSI).

Negative Vetting 1 is preferred; however, Commonwealth may consider Baseline security clearance at its discretion.

The Role
The role’s responsibilities will include:
Review the learning objectives allocated to the following (proposed) courses to optimise training throughput to meet the DTR
Optimise course delivery across the following priority courses of the ADFDS OIC:
Priority One - Clearance Diving Officer Course (CDOC)
Priority Two – Advance Clearance Diving Course (ADVCD)
Priority Three – Basic Clearance Diving Course (BCD), or Initial Entry Training course (IETCD)
Priority Four - ADFDS Program and manning construct
Priority Five - Intermediate Clearance Diving Course (INTCD)
Collaborate with MCDSPO Support System remediation team once per fortnight to update allowances, identify deficient support material (e.g. operator manuals)
Deliver a high level program for the delivery of the above artefacts for update in MCDSPO’s ‘Open Plan Professional’ for task and budgetary reporting (MS excel preferred)
Deliver a Monthly report, identifying work complete, work planned and key activities

The assessment criteria is as follows:
The extent to which nominated personnel have the level of demonstrated relevant experience, capacity and capability to complete the services as requested;
