Army maintains and develops a number of bespoke communications and ICT services and applications with many unique requirements. A need has been identified for a Product Manager to support innovation and integration effects within a specialised engineering development and integration team.
The Product Manager will be a change agent coordinating delivery and business stakeholders, managing new development and operations, and providing direction and oversight to Product teams. The successful candidate would be expected to work within a blended team of ADF, APS and contracted technical staff.

The Role
The role’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Establish Product roadmaps and release plans across product catalogs that satisfy requirements and deliver business outcomes;
Collaborate with the Product owners and engineering teams to guide the scoping, planning and delivery of fit for purpose outcomes, applying Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) across the product catalog;
Manage stakeholders and coordinate key engagements
Manage organisational interdependencies as it applies to product delivery including:
Defence capability and benefits management;
Managing the expectations of the senior stakeholders to maximise product value;
Driving the Agile methodology adaptation in the Product space;
Resource capacity management; and
Risk management.
Driving continual improvement across a product portfolio and business processes
Your Background & Experience
The role requires demonstrated experience in:
Demonstrated success in defining, building and managing Product lifecycles within key project management methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, PMBOK);
Strong project and stakeholder manager skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously;
Experience overseeing Agile development initiatives and estimating resource requirements;
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including leveraging data to inform decision making;
Relationship building and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholders;
Ability to prioritise and balance multiple stakeholder priorities;
Experience using Agile, SAFe and PPM modules within ServiceNow will be highly regarded.
